Description

We are looking for Store Manager for our well settled Liquor Store. Person who is self-motivated, who can go few extra miles for the growth of the business.
Requirements:
Applicants must have manager certificate and LCQ.
Minimum 2 years of experience in same industry with retail and wholesale.
Must be flexible to work on roster and on weekends and public holidays.
Must have Diploma in business.
Good level of Microsoft Office skill.
Tasks & duties
The employee’s tasks and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Plan, formulate and implement operational budgets
2. Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximise profits
3. Analyse and interpret market trends to facilitate any operational planning
4. Maintain stock levels and determine relative popularity of items before ordering new stock.
5. Facilitate payment to suppliers for stock and when appropriate, negotiate for better terms
6. Ensure that ordered products are conforming and accurately invoiced when they arrive
7. Ensure that stock is accurately priced and displayed in an aesthetically appealing manner
8. Set prices of products in accordance with competitors’ prices, store’s profit margins and other factors as appropriate
9. Periodically organise and participate in stock takes
10. Determine and amend stock profit margins to remain competitive within a specific territory.
11. Provide reasonable discount to large orders and/or highly valued customers
12. Organise, plan and execute product promotions particularly for stock which is close to reaching its shelf life and/or for newly released products.
13. Plan, formulate and implement other business expansion strategies
14. Supervise junior staff, delegate duties to them and routinely evaluate their performance
15.Provide training to junior and/or new staff members and offer continued guidance to other staff if and where required.
16. Organise advertising for job vacancies, short listing, candidate interviews and appointment of new staff
17. Address any customer dissatisfaction that may arise
18. Manage the day-to-day banking and accounts of the premises
19. Ensuring continued compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
20. Ensuring continued compliance with applicable liquor laws
Additional Tasks
Any other related tasks may be assigned from time to time as assigned by the employer.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
