Histology Technician – Histology Department – Palmerston North
Pay Range: Negotiable. Dependent on qualifications and experience. Starting from $25.00 per hour.
Medlab Central provides a wide range of services in relation to diagnostic testing for patients in both the community and public hospitals throughout Palmerston North, Wanganui, Feilding, Bulls, Levin, Dannevirke, Hawkes Bay, Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Otaki, Marton and Gisborne.
In addition we provide public hospital based services to MidCentral DHB in Palmerston North, Wanganui DHB in Wanganui and Tairawhiti DHB in Gisborne as well as referred services to a variety of DHB hospitals.

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and friendly person to join us as a Technician in our Histology Department.
Your duties would include surgical cut up / dissection. Training and on-going support would be provided. At least two years’ cut up experience is preferred.
You would need to:
Accurately follow detailed instructions and procedures;
Have an awareness of ethical, privacy, and procedural regulations;
Be part of a team;
Hold or obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate with NZ Medical Science Council;
Have a clean NZ Driver’s Licence;
Be legally entitled to work in NZ; and
Be willing to undergo a security and criminal record check.
