Liteweight Pinto. 1982. This is one of around 65 Caravettes that were built in the 1980’s.
The model was produced in three or four berth configurations and weighed in at around 460kg. At 3.04M (10ft) in length it was reportedly able to be towed by a 185CC farm bike and often was seen being towed by the humble mini.
This van is a three berth with a “Playboy’ fibreglass base and is a rare find nowadays in reasonably good tidy condition for its age. Mostly original layout, fixtures and fittings.
Two side opening windows (all rubbers in good condition) and unusual two piece rear access door. Clear Perspex roof vent. Venetians at front and side windows.
3 way fridge
2 burner stainless cooker with grill.
2 Double electric sockets, two 240W electric lights and two battery powered and a 12V socket from battery. Current electrical WOF till 3/23.
Under floor water tank and grey water tank. Certified self- contained (exp 08/24) with porta potty.
Comes with two awnings in good condition. One rear with removable sides and one full side awning we have only used once.
Fitted with 155X80 R12 Truck tyres and has a large storage box on the front tow assembly.
Registered to 1/22 and WOF to 3/22
We have owned, loved and treated this little beauty with tender loving care. It was our transition from tenting and after many happy holidays over 8 years we are up sizing now for retirement holidays. Selling as is and will suit someone with an appreciation of retro style and quirks who will enjoy this cute light to tow special little van.
