Creative Space Architectural Design is an innovative architectural design firm based in Tauranga. We have an established reputation for providing industry leading information and high quality, detailed designs. We are currently looking for an Intermediate/Senior draughtsperson or an experienced Designer to complement our existing team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Carrying out drafting requirements to a very high level for new or existing projects
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications to be used for building consent
• Manage the entire drawing process to obtain building consent
• Liaise with clients, contractors and consultants on a daily basis
• Prepare pricing drawings and assist in the collation of construction budgets
• Prepare designs for residential and commercial projects

Competencies/ Skills required
• 5+ - 10+ years’ NZ experience minimum
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills
• An eye for detail and a solid understanding of structural and weathertightness principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and multi-task
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Knowledge/understanding of NZS:3604 and the NZ Building Code
• Passion for the industry and a drive for success
• Ability to liase with clients, engineers, builders and council


Useful but not necessary skills
An understanding of ArchiCAD if not training will be provided for the right candidate.
