Mediterranean Foods is a multifaceted business. We are New Zealand’s largest importer & distributor of specialty Mediterranean products as well as having a successful hospitality operation and shop.

Our Newtown premises is a modern Italian style Trattoria, Pizzeria, Café, Shop and Deli focusing on authentic foods and products from the Mediterranean.

We are looking for someone to take over all the in-house graphic design, and to execute communication plans and design content for marketing campaigns and advertising.

This is a full-time role but could be part-time (20 hours per week) until November 2018. This could be ideal for a 4th year design student looking to graduate.

You will be working closely with our company directors, marketing manager, executive chef and shop manager. You will deliver engaging visual content that communicates the Mediterranean Foods brand strategy for our restaurant, shop and wholesale business.

Skills needed:
• Adobe Create Suite ?(Indesign, Premier Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and Adobe Acrobat)
• Web Content Management, in particular, Squarespace
• Photography and video skills, a bonus if has own camera!
• Designing online newsletters
• Social Media savvy; facebook and instagram??
• Time management be able to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail.

Our current design and marketing initiatives:
• Mailchimp newsletters every week - alternate weeks between Trattoria and Shop. Assisting with the online shop newsletters and wholesale
• Drawing monthly winners for the foodclub - every first Monday of the month
• Product of the week (image and description) every Thursday
• Events promotion (examples include, Pizza Masterclasses, Wine tastings, Wellington on a Plate)
• Social Media (competitions, engagement posts)
• Video editing - familiar with Premier Pro for filming specials and other videos (Christmas time, events etc)
• Photography - product photography and for social media content??Web/Online
• Social Media (Competitions, engagement posts..)
• Website - Familiar with Squarespace??
• Advertisements in Capital Magazine. Meeting monthly deadlines and providing information on products/events communicated by our Marketing Manager.
• Flyers, catalogue booklets, packaging (barcodes), interior/exterior signage, business cards, menus, recipe cards, presentations
• Design and printing in-house - printing menus, sleeves for ready meals, flyers etc
