NZ Cheese Limited (https://nzcheese.co.nz/) is looking for a 2IC staff member for our small specialty cheese distribution business based in Takanini. This role will report to the owner (James) but is predominantly unsupervised. NB: the warehouse space is shared with another food distribution company, so despite often working alone there will be other people around.
Hours and days required are relatively flexible but can expect up to 15 hours a week (always morning work and finished by midday/early-afternoon). A typical day will start at about 8am and finish midday (sometimes going into the afternoon).
Some days will just be a couple of hours in the morning. Hours/days of the week change due to order volume.
The duties will include:
Weighing/Cutting/Packing cheese orders
Making and packing boxes for shipment
Lifting and packaging boxes
Labelling items for dispatch
Required job skills:
Previous food hygiene and handling experience
Ability to undertake physical task-based warehouse work
Ability to work independently - common sense and problem solving are a must.
This role will suit someone who likes to work alone, enjoys the flexibility around working hours and thrives on keeping busy!
