We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Machine Operator / Automotive Machinist to join our team in West Auckland. We've been in business for over 32 years, and pride ourselves on delivering top quality engine building, machining, and repair services to our clients all over New Zealand.
Our state of the art RMC 4 Axis CNC Engine Machining Centre is one of only 2 in New Zealand and we are looking for someone skilled in CNC milling machine operation who has an interest in the automotive industry.
Typical operations would include:
Cylinder boring
Block decking & surfacing
Cylinder sleeving
Line boring
Lifter boring & sleeving
As the CNC doesn't always run all day, we are looking for a candidate who is willing to learn other machine operations to help in other areas when required.
The successful candidate will bring the following to our team:
Proven experience with the operation of CNC milling machine equipment
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to finish work to our high quality standards
Strong communication skills
A professional work ethic
Reliability and a can-do/will-do attitude
Flexible to work in different departments depending on workload demands
Ability to follow processes and procedures
Good time management and a focus on productivity standards
The position is 40 hrs per week, Monday - Friday with some overtime during busy periods.
