We are currently undertaking the construction of the cycle trail from Milton to Waitahuna and Waihola and are looking for several multi-skilled machinery operators with proven earthworks experience to join our team.
These positions involve general duties such as digger and loader operation, quarrying, truck driving, gravel spreading, truck & trailer work, positrack operation, grading, compaction, rock extraction and processing. Some general labouring will also be required. You will be based in Milton, working on challenging, interesting and spectacular cycle trail projects with lots of diversity. You will enjoy working within a team and have a pleasant demeanour, have good attention to detail and take pride in your finished work.
As a successful candidate you will have a strong ability to get the job done efficiently and to a high standard. You will have a strong health and safety focus and ideally some mechanical aptitude. Other useful skills and experience include:
1.8 – 24 tonne digger operation
Final trim
Grading
Loader operation
Gravel spreading on off-road terrain
Gravel cartage Class 2, 4 & 5 operators
Roller operation on uneven terrain
Building and fencing
Rock placing
Culvert installation
Chainsaw work
Rock extraction and processing
