EkoCabs is the new kid on the block, building our fleet to be 100% electric and providing riders a professional and unique experience. We are growing our Wellington team and starting out in Auckland and Christchurch, so we are looking for committed and personable people to join our growing team as Owner-Operators or Drivers.
You will be your own boss, work your own days/hours, and we have built a model that ensures you keep more of your earnings than other companies and rideshare providers. So, most of the negative stuff you’ve heard about taxi companies slaving and ripping off their drivers? Yeah, that’s not us!
We pride ourselves in our commitment to the environment and are on a mission to build NZ’s first fully electric taxi fleet. We are not there yet, so hybrids are still welcome. We also have EVs you can lease. Everything you need to get going.
We want to hear from you if you can:
provide top-notch, professional customer service
drive responsibly on the road
have excellent/defensive driving ability
Motivate yourself to meet and exceed expectations
Navigate the city, suburbs, and other main sites, using the most advantageous routes.
Previous commercial driving or customer-facing experience will be an advantage, but we provide extensive training.
To be suitable for this opportunity, you need:
A full driver's license, clean for at least 2 years
Current P Endorsement, or be willing to apply for one
Pass a fit and proper person check
Two references
