Corteva Agriscience ™ **, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting opportunity for a responsible, motivated person to join our manufacturing team as a Safe Work Permit (SWP) Activity Coordinator/Gatekeeper at the New Plymouth site where we operate a chemical blending plant and equipment (batch process) and packaging lines.
Reporting to the Site Leader and working closely with operations, maintenance and EHS personnel you will be required to support the achievement of effective, efficient, & safe maintenance activities by providing the following key purposes;
- Safe Work Permit focal point;

Supporting the training, assessment and coaching of SWP issuers and supporting roles
Coordinating daily/weekly allocation of SWP issuing responsibilities
Be the primary SWP writer for activities that require higher level of authority

- Perform Gatekeeper responsibilities, reviewing and approving submitted work order requests for release and action by maintenance personnel.

Your working hours will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with the requirement to periodically be on-call and/or undertake overtime (if necessary).

You need to offer:

Minimum of five years+ manufacturing (chemical, petrochemical or allied) experience where you gained experience in writing work permits for a wide range of applications
Good working knowledge of maintenance activities in a manufacturing plant; trade background would be useful
Good computer literacy
Influential leadership ability, great communication and organisational skills
Team player with positive attitude and initiative
Good problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement
NZQA unit standards in relevant areas would be beneficial
