Mount Brown Estates are looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team. We have three vineyards (around 40 hectares) in Waipara as well as our own winery. Vineyard experience isn't necessary but would be an advantage.
The role offers a good variety of work including manual vineyard work and machinery work. The role is part of the whole process of making our great wine from winter pruning through to helping in the winery at vintage.
Key tasks are:
perform all vineyard machinery-based operations so vineyards are maintained to a high standard
perform tasks as required such as pruning and canopy management
agrichemical handling and application for effective pest and disease management
working in the winery at vintage
A current Grow Safe and Approved Handler Certificate would be an advantage.
Because we are a family-owned and run vineyard it is important you can develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships. This role will be best suited to a motivated and enthusiastic person, able to be flexible with hours where required.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
