Are you organized, vibrant, motivated and compassionate about helping a male adult with learning difficulties to realise his potential of running his own Dog Walking and light Pet Care activities (for example feeding a cat).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside our son to inspire, encourage and be a role model in starting and running a successful small business.

You need to be experienced in Dog walking and Pet Care including some skills of running your own business. You will have an excellent interpersonal skill and be the front Customer facing to provide excellent customer service, working alongside our son to teach him the skills to eventually run this business on his own. You will also have a ‘can do’ attitude who can find smart ways to overcome obstacles.

You will be successful in this role if you are teaching the skills to our son running his business and progress his ability to work independently as possible over time. This includes his ability to respond to customers, schedule and keep appointments, take payments and bank deposits, or any other activity required to run this business successfully.

Your role will include:

• Advertise and reach out to potential customers. This may be through Social Media, Web Page, Pamphlet drops or even door knocking.
• Building a database of all the Dogs/Pets details and their owners
• Schedule the Dogs Walks and Pet Care activities
• Safely Walking and feeding dogs and other pets
• Learning to deal with situations that may arise such as dog becoming sick or injured under your supervision
• Providing training or enrol in training for Canine behaviour, basic care and first aid skills for animals
• Find meaningful activities during down time.


You MUST have a full driver license and access to a vehicle. Prior experience working with pet animals and with special needs people will be highly desirable. A Police check is essential.

Start ASAP. Hours of work 9am -3pm Monday - Friday. This role will initially be for 6 months with a possibility of becoming permanent role if your help makes a difference for starting and running this small business.

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
