We have a part-time, work at home opportunity for a self-starter in the Wellington region.

This year, 21 Wellington/Kapiti/Manawatu high schools have joined our EVolocity programme, in which teams of students design, build and compete in electric vehicles. The programme has been running for 5 years and now has more than 100 teams competing in main centres nationwide. It’s about giving young people a fun way to discover the joys of engineering and project management, while also introducing them and their families to the benefits of electric vehicles and giving them a tangible way to engage in sustainability.

From August to December this year, you will work alongside our Executive Director to identify potential sponsors in the Wellington region. Once a database of organisations and contacts has been compiled, you will set meetings and present the case for them to support EVolocity. We will arm you with an EVolocity email address, business cards and an effective Powerpoint presentation, as well as giving you access to EVolocity videos. Our goal will be to raise at least $30K in the Wellington region. Sponsorship options will range from $1K upwards. We expect this to take around 100 hours.

Assuming we are successful at raising the necessary funds, during 2019 you may also work alongside our Executive Director to handle:

• Fundraising for 2020
• Sponsor relationship management – making sure that the sponsors are getting the benefits they have been promised.
• Regional marketing

You will need to have the following:
• Experience in fundraising and sponsor recruitment
• Experience in building contact databases in Excel or Google Sheets
• The ability to give effective presentations and to conduct the necessary follow up
• Passion for project-based education in the areas of engineering, electric vehicles and sustainability
