Texco Groundworks Limited is a privately owned, multi-disciplined business, offering a wide scope of services from residential development and civil infrastructure works through to foundation piling and general excavation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role is a maternity leave cover position for 12 months
This is a part-time role working 20 hours a week.
Days and hours of work negotiable but will require four days in the office.
To be successful for this role, we’re looking for someone who aligns to our core values and enjoys working with a diverse range of team members. We are seeking a talented, detail-orientated and highly organised Health and Safety Administrator to join our Bromley based office in Christchurch. The ideal candidate must be able to manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities. The role reports directly to the Finance and Administration Manager.

Are you up for the challenge?

The role:
Maintain the Texco’s integrated management system to ensure compliance with external quality, environmental, and health & safety certifications, and accreditations in conjunction with Texco’s internal systems.
Facilitate regular H&S Committee meetings, ensuring they occur when required and are minuted appropriately
Conduct and coordinate company audits to ensure company staff are following documented Quality and Health and Safety procedures.
External Audits
Accident and Incident Co-ordination
Review & monitor H&S Compliance Software System
Contractor/Supplier Management

What you’ll bring:
Experience with Quality, H & S and Environmental systems
A self-starter with the initiative to identify and fix any problems or implement ideas you have
Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills and the ability to pick up and work with a variety of systems
The ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate practical information to documented process and vice versa
Understanding of safety practices & risks associated to the civil construction industry
The ability to work in fast paced environments and thrive under pressure
Be a self-starter and willingness to go above and beyond

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
