Timberlands Ltd is a world leading Forestry Management Company based in Rotorua, New Zealand, with a commitment to being the best and safest production forest in the world.
We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to champion this commitment.
Our ideal candidate:
To be a success in this role you need to be an experienced operational health, safety and environment advocate with a strong field presence and focus on teamwork to deliver our key objectives. You will also need to be competent using a variety of IT equipment and tools.
Key tasks include:
• Significant field work (at least 50% of the role)
• Be available for immediate response to call outs
• Conduct audits, risk assessments and investigations of high-risk forestry operations
• Provide training, mentoring and technical advice to staff and contractors in HS&E
• Undertake contractor safety and environmental inductions
• Participate in other key HS&E activities including policy and procedure development
