Description

This role is for a technology company designing, implementing and operating highly advanced manufacturing facilities utilising Industry 4.0 capabilities.

We are seeking an individual with a current forklift licence who enjoys a varied workday and who has a high level of initiative and good computer skills.

You will be responsible for inventory management both at the front and end of the production process.
Duties include
-ensuring that product arriving into the facility is unloaded and unpacked, of the required quality, entered into the company computer system, then stored in the appropriate manner
- loading/issuing raw materials to the production process
- maintaining accurate inventory records ensuring that adequate stocks of material is available
- Performing quality assurance checks on the product during the production process and as finished product ensuring that findings are recorded on the company computer system
- Packing and preparing finished goods for storage and shipment
- organisation of finished goods for storage and shipment
- using computer system to accurately label finished goods, update inventory and arrange dispatch
- supporting production activities as required to fill in for team shortages

This role has a significant physical component as you will be partially handling pieces of timber.

Quality Assurance is a large part of the role, as is health and safety compliance and reporting.

You will have a forklift licence and a minimum Level 3 National Certificate or equivalent. 2 years operation of a forklift, computer experience or some IT experience, be well organised and disciplined and have analysis and problem solving skills.

Previous work in a store or inventory / logistics related role would be desirable, as would quality assurance experience and a first aid certificate.

Must pass a drug and alcohol test and a basic maths/numeracy test. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

This role is permanent, 40 hours per week with flexibility to work longer hours when required and attracts a highly competitive remuneration.
