Taranaki Hunting & Fishing is a family-owned and run business. We love our customers, and our main focus is providing the best service to everyone who walks into our stores.

We pride ourselves on being flexible and supportive and you will be a part of an exciting growing business we currently employ a team of 30, spread between our two New Plymouth branches.

We are now looking for an experienced hands-on office manager, a key role that supports the management team.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Your core purpose will be to ensure all administration functions for the business are managed in a professional, timely and accurate manner, co-ordinating day-to-day operations, as well as moving the business forward!

This includes overall responsibility for accounts reconciliations, accounts receivable, guardianship of the accounting package, and the general administration processes for the organisation.

Ideally you will also be able to tick the following boxes:

A proven track record in similar administration roles
A great administrator and organiser with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Competent with the full word suite, including excel
Familiar with business accounting packages. Exposure to xero would be considered an advantage
A natural ‘hands-on’ multi-tasker with a down to earth sense of humour and a willing, positive and energetic persona.
Strong communication skills both written and verbally
Great organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize workloads to effectively meet deadlines
