Benkris Farm is looking for a Herd Manager with a minimum of 2 years experience for the 2019/20 season to start asap as a fulltime employee on its 195 ha dairy farm located 7 km south of Rolleston, Canterbury.
We currently milk 750 cows through a 48 aside herringbone shed. We also have pivot and sprinkler irrigation.
We are looking for a proven team player with following attributes, must be punctual, friendly, reliable, honest, have good eye for animal health, pasture management a must, be good with machinery, get on with other people, have fun and enjoy doing their job. Experience in tractor work a must and as all facets of dairy farming.
We require minimum of 2 years dairy experience with suitable references.
A current Visa to work in New Zealand is required.
You must be able to pass a Police Check and be drug free.
A tidy 3 bedroom home with an attached single garage is available for the successful applicant. Domestic animals by negotiation.
Salary neg depending on experience.
