We require an Experienced Shepherd for a 330ha support block within a larger farming operation.
This successful applicant will have:
Minimum 3-4 years shepherding experience
At least 3-4 Reliable working dogs under good command
Enthusiasm and a willingness to take on responsibility
Excellent pasture/crop management and feed budgeting skills
Take pride in their work and have an eye for detail
Good communication and record keeping abilities
The applicant must be honest and reliable and be able to work unsupervised. There will be times when called upon to help out on the larger coastal farm (40 minutes away).
This position is located 10km east of Dannevirke with both primary and secondary school bus at gate. A comfortable 4 bedroom home is available.
