The team at Longacre Farming is looking for another Good Bugga to get involved with our
changing business in Waikite Valley 25 minutes south of Rotorua.
We operate a 250ha farm of rolling to steep contour, milking 550 crossbreed cows.
The cows are the stars of the show, but we need good people to help bring out the best in them.
Having found an outstanding 2 IC- we are now on the look out for a Farm Assistant to
complete our team.
Longacre Farming focuses around people and cows- we need good people to bring out the
best in the cows – and we are working towards good cows to enable people to bring out the best in themselves.
The challenging contour and climate of the property has led us to invest in a large, covered feed pad which is getting the finishing touches applied to it as we speak.
The team is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that this brings with it.
Contented- efficient cows is what we are striving for.
The property can be challenging in contour, but also really rewarding, figuring out the most
efficient way to convert the grass we grow into milk.
We milk through a well-designed 40ashb Cowshed with automated drafting and run modern
efficient machinery.
We are after a motivated, forward thinking Farm Assistant to come on the journey with us.
Working alongside the share milker and my partner, and a 2 IC. We also engage seasonal
help when needed.
Attitude is everything- We can teach what we need too, to the right person, but the positive-good Bugga can do, attitude is a prerequisite.
The cows will revolve around the new feed pad- so machinery and tractor experience is an advantage, but not a deal breaker.

We currently run a 7 and 2 -4 and 1 roster. But we are completely negotiable to whatever
works best for the team.
