Role: Farm Assistant.
Drive in - Monday - Friday 8am start.
Location: Silverdale, North Shore, Auckland.
Minimum of 30 hrs per week with some flexibility particularly on days when travelling offsite.
Hourly pay rate based on experience.
A Full driving license is required.
This is a general farm assistant role with a wide variety of tasks all around the farm and offsite. No 2 days are exactly the same here, milking dairy goats, feeding out, fencing (including electric fencing), general maintenance, shed / shelter cleaning, some weeding / mower work in some areas. Raising goat kids & lambs, along with adorable chicks & ducklings.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the business owner and independently across a variety of duties all over the farm and offsite at our clients premises.
There’s also a retail (livestock & pet feeds, supplements etc) and services side to the business, regularly visiting other farms and lifestyle properties to deliver husbandry services and disease testing.
Ideally we’re looking for someone with some experience within a farming environment. Experience with goats, sheep, cattle & poultry would be an advantage.
A love of animals is a must along with a good positive attitude.
We are a registered essential service provider operating across all covid alert levels. Policies and procedures are in place for health and safety. PPE is supplied where required (masks, gloves, overalls etc).
