The above position is a new postion for a Manager on Silverpeaks Station, Hindon, 50 minutes from Dunedin. A 2577 ha property 8000 su, running Crossbred sheep and Angus cattle.
The Station is farmed as a breeding platform and part of a larger farming entity.
The large 4-bedroom homestead is provided.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal applicant will:
Report and communicate farm information effectively while liaising with off-site farm owner
Manage casual staff and contractors with strong communication and good staff & time management skills
Competent to plan and implement grazing systems and rotations that fit best with the stock on the property
Strong observation skills, problem solving and confidence to use your initiative with general day-to-day- farm
activities
Must have solid hill country mustering experience, with a good team of dogs
Excellent Health and Safety practice
Current and full NZ driver's license
