Kaiangaroa Station consists of 1278 ha of which 1,174 ha is effective operating as a sheep breeding & finishing and Bull Beef enterprise with approximately 12,000 stock units being wintered.
The farm is located at Pukeokahu, approximately 25 km East of Taihape.
Our new General Hand and Bull Beef Stockman will be someone that is equally at home maintaining the farm and moving bulls. You will be working with a motivated farm team aiming to operate a high performance sheep and bull beef operation. This is an exciting and challenging role that will involve:
Taking responsibility to maintain and build on current farm infrastructure
Managing mobs of bulls - animal health, grazing, monitoring weight gains
Maintaining a close working relationship with management and staff
Ensuring the name “Kaiangaroa” is synonymous with excellence
This will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop new skills and experiences with a supportive leadership team.
Applicant should have the following:
A current, clean full drivers licence
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Be self-motivated, energetic and passionate about farming
Experience in general farm maintenance
Complete tasks to a high standard
This position also comes with a well maintained 3 bedroom cottage with views over the farm. Pukeokahu Primary School is on the farm boundary with Secondary schooling in Taihape.
Remuneration will reflect experience and skills.
