Squash Auckland General Manager
Squash Auckland is the district organisation for squash in the greater Auckland region and the largest district within Squash New Zealand. We are seeking a General Manager to join the team and help take the game to another level.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is responsible for leading a small team of staff and volunteers and ensuring the strategic vision is delivered.
The position requires these attributes:
Knowledge and experience of strategic planning and implementation
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills
Self-motivation and self-management
Experience and exposure to the sports & recreation sector
Computer skills, including presentation preparation
Financial skills, including understanding of accounting, budget development and management
Sponsorship and funding experience
Relationship building with clubs, Squash NZ and other stakeholders
Ability to develop initiatives to take the sport ‘to the people’ and to motivate clubs to increase participation
Ability to manage and maintain relationships across the sports sector
This role is full-time but we will consider strong candidates who are interested in a flexible working option.
