About the role

We are seeking to hire an experienced full time Assistant Manager to manage our motel. This a very hand on role, dealing & assisting in running all departments of our motel while exceeding our guest expectations during their stay.

Assistant manager Main duties:

-Work collectively with the Motel Manager to ensure that the cleanliness, organization and overall appearance of the motel meet standards and is in proper working order inside and outside.

-Coordinate with Motel Manager to ensure that employee performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.

-Train staff to enforce and practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and guests .

-Support front office duties and resolve problems as needed. Report all concerns to the manager.

-Greet and register guests

-Collect laundry payment

-Assist the staff to answer questions about the motel polices and services, along with the customer complaints.

-Providing friendly and competent customer service.

-Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled with regular and consistent attendance.

Successful candidate should have:

-Diploma qualification in Hospitality management or related field is preferred

-High level of computer skills including MS office

-Manager's certificate is preferred

-Local knowledge of New Zealand is preferred

-Minimum of 3 years experience in motel management
