Due to Colin moving up to our Stock Manager position we have a vacancy on our 960ha sheep, beef, and dairy support property.
We currently farm:
* 5000 ewes, plus replacements
* finishing store lambs and beef cattle
* Wintering dairy cows
* Barley whole crop
We have a team of 4-5 operating up to date equipment and systems, with a commitment to getting you home safe every day. We use contractors for the big jobs like tailing, conveyor work, and some crutching. Cultivation and Baleage done contract.
The job is predominately stock work, with some fencing, tractor work, and general maintenance.
We value hard work but appreciate our, and your, time off. Winter roster of mornings every second weekend, with plenty of time for sport or family. We do a once a day lambing beat, and do minimal weekend work the rest of the year.
We like to see our team learn and progress, so if you want to grow your skills we will assist with outside training. A number of our previous employees have moved on to management roles.
Remuneration package includes lamb, beef and a good three bedroom house. Dog costs covered.
We are only 15 minutes from Gore, and a good house is available.

You will need to have:
* A passion for farming as a career
* Attention to detail, and pride in doing a good job
* 2-4 well controlled dogs
* Good communication skills, and the patience to encourage and teach junior staff
