We specialize in Fibre Optic. As an independent Contractor we have a wide range and scale of projects and offer interesting and varied positions in Otago , Napier and Manawatu regions.


We are seeking outstanding person/s to join our team. This role require experienced, competent and motivated individual/s who are prepared to operate in a busy environment and who will respond efficiently to our needs.


As the successful candidate, you will not only be competent and motivated but you will be prepared to carry out a number of duties and needs with the ability to work in a pressured and fast paced environment, with a number of immediate positions available.

You will be:
(.) Plans network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; preparing an installation diagram

(.)Installation of complete Ribbonet system for UFB including jointing, chamber installation, cabinet installation, boundary drop
(.) Testing circuits and maintains and repairs telecommunications equipment and appliances including switchboards, phones, data transmission equipment in residential and business sites
(.) Fibre cabling and fusion splicing in commercial and domestic properties
(.) Examining drawings and specifications, interpreting plans for installation of telecommunications equipment
(.) Establishing structured voice and data cabling networks
(.) Repairing of equipment, investigation of existing duct, fault finding and repairing and hauling fibre optic cables installed in underground ducts and overhead systems, and escalating problems


- Relevant qualification required and experience required
- Chorus accredited with all Chorus required courses
- Able to work unsupervised and within a team
-Able to travel around New Zealand - Keen and enthusiastic
- A strong communicator - Resource and a problem solver
- Methodical and accurate in your work practices - Ability to read service plans


You will need to demonstrate

- Customer service orientated with a "can-do" attitude
- Highly motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals
- Have a Full current New Zealand driver’s licence
- Fully aware of health and safety issues
- Ability to "think on your feet"
- Strong communication skills orally and in writing
- Be computer literate and have practical computer skills for connecting hardware - The Health, Safety and Well-being of our staff and those we work around is of utmost importance to us and a key element of this role, the ability to display this on a daily, ongoing basis is essential.
