Pukaki Flats Farming is located near Lake Pukaki on Simons Pass Station with mountains, lakes and rivers all at your doorstep. Just a short 20 minutes drive to Twizel or Tekapo.
We are an innovative farming business looking for someone to join our dairy team in the role of Dairy Assistant (two full-time permanent positions are available).
We will be milking 1600 cows through a new 80 bale rotary shed with ACR’s, Protrack, EZ Heat camera and in shed feeding.
Ideally you will have some experience milking cows through a rotary shed and a basic understanding of animal health and pasture management. However we are willing to teach anybody with the right attitude!
Great communication skills will be key, and the ability to work as part of a high performing team.
We want someone who understands the importance of health and safety on farm, and is keen to upskill. We will support on and off farm training through ITO, Dairy NZ etc
All applicants MUST already be in New Zealand, hold a current NZ drivers licence, NZ residency OR a valid work visa.
Applicants are subject to Police, ACC checks, and alcohol and drug testing.
