We are looking for a fixed term Calf Rearer to help our high performing team at Aoraki Dairy Unit during our busy calving season. Work will be predominantly in the calf shed, helping the farm team go about their duties. We are just a 10 minutes drive from Foxton 20 minutes from levin and 40 minutes from Palmerston North
This is a 196 effective ha block in our last year of conversion to become a certified organic dairy unit that milks approximately 440 cows
Employment will begin early August with a definite start date discussed with the successful applicant, The successful candidate will need to be flexible around work hours and have reliable transport essential to get you to/from farm. We rear approx 120 replacement heifers and 300 sale bull beef/bobbies ranging from friesian bulls angus heifer/bulls and hereford heifer/bulls This is a drive-in/drive-out role. The biggest thing you need is empathy, patience, and respect for animals.
You will bring the following:

An exceptional attitude to health and safety
Some calf rearing experience would be ideal
Ability to lift 20 kg
Be punctual and reliable
The ability to work unsupervised
Take pride in their work and surrounding environment
Restricted or full driver's licence
