Marine and Outdoors is Marlborough’s go to boat dealership and marine servicing provider, alongside our large showroom space which provides locals with some of the best retail brands available in New Zealand.
After a period of tremendous growth and with an equally busy remainder of the year ahead, we’re looking for a Yardperson to join our close knit team.
This role is pivotal in assisting our team to provide an outstanding experience to our sales and servicing customers. We're looking for someone with an eye for detail and ability to be a jack of all trades. This is a multi faceted role with no two days the same.
Your responsibilities will include:
Detailing and preparing boats and jet skis to a very high standard for sale and handover
Organisation of boat yard, using a Forklift to manoeuvre boats into position
Unloading and loading of delivery trucks
General cleaning of service centre and yard
General assistance to servicing team
The successful applicant will have:
Full, clean driving licence
Experience towing trailers and / or boats
A Forklift license with F Endorsement (may consider helping the right candidate to gain license)
The ability to work tidily and to follow instructions and procedures
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
Some basic mechanical skills would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite for the role
This is a full-time position. Days of work are 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Located primarily in our showroom at 14 Horton Street, Blenheim with off-site work from time to time.
This position is available for an immediate start.
