Due to the growth at JI Home, an exciting opportunity exists for a professional and self motivated Auckland based sales and administration expert to join our team. Must include Saturdays.

JI Home is one of Auckland’s leading furniture design stores, located in the heart of Ponsonby, representing New Zealand’s leading and well established premium furniture brands Halo and Artwood, which have been firmly established in the market for over a decade.

Halo Established 1976 is a world renowned English brand selling high end upholstered furniture, accessories and stunning lighting, combined with Artwood, which was founded in Sweden in 1969, designs inspired from the American East Coast.

JI Home is the retail showroom for Johnston Imports, which is an industry leading, family owned, importing, wholesale and distribution business, established in 2003. Johnston Imports is firmly focused on supplying quality furniture and service to discerning customers in the upper tier of domestic and commercial developments.

We are currently looking for a full time administration and sales person. Must be well organised and have strong communication and customer sales skills to join our team. Sales and retail experience would be an advantage. Part time employees would also be considered.

The Role:

- Deliver exceptional customer service

- Enter sales for Johnston Imports and arrange the deliveries

- The ability to close sales to achieve sales targets

- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products, design and manufacturer specifications in order to achieve sales

- Entering sales into the POS system

- Maintain our showroom appearance to an impeccable standard

- Ensure highest levels of client service and continually enhance the reputation of the company

- Hours, subject to negotiation however must include Saturdays.

- The successful candidate will be working closely with our team to ensure our clients receive excellent customer service.

Skills & Experience:

- Meticulous administration skills, organisational skills and attention to detail - a must

- High level of customer service with excellent communication skills whether written, via phone or in person are essential

- Prior retail experience, with proven track record, preferably in furniture and interior design
Vibrant, enthusiastic individual with well developed time management skills

- Excellent customer service focus is essential and must be able to converse and work closely with our loyal designers and our high calibre clientele

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites is essential

- Efficient team player, motivated and outgoing

- Well presented
