Shivani Restaurant has a vacancy for a Sales and Marketing Officer who will be responsible for strategising, implementing and managing all aspects of our marketing and promotional campaigns.

We have three busy Indian Restaurants with Retail located in Mt Roskill and Papatoetoe in Auckland and Melville in Hamilton, along with a Commercial Production Facility, Warehouse and an Online Shop.

Our Restaurants have been set up with the mission of serving pure and superlative hot foods / Sweets / Snacks / Chaats from all parts of India to our vegetarian gourmet loving populace.
We are seeking a person who can hit the ground running and must be able to prove they fit the criteria below:

-Demonstrable sales and marketing knowledge and skills gained either through a relevant tertiary qualification and/or directly relevant previous work experience

Strong knowledge of Indian sweets and the Indian Sweet market
Excellent communication skills and a demonstrable ability to build and maintain relationships with our customer base.
Strong time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated and able to set and achieve high standards
Frequently undertake and complete market research into competitors’ services and
products and ensure that we remain competitive within the target market.
Formulate, develop and implement online marketing and promotional strategies, including our social media, website and online orders
Liaise with printers, newspapers, radio executives etc. to facilitate advertisement through the most appropriate media.
Ensure that all other aspects of our marketing campaigns are implemented
Keep records of all activities and periodically discuss the same with Management

This role may include weekend and late hours work and therefore we require someone who is able to work flexible hours. Must be able to have a clean criminal record, with no history of dishonesty.

Pay rate offered for this position will be around $25-30 per hour, depending on qualification & experience.
