Mason Street Architectural Drafting is a design based architectural studio based in Whangarei, we specialise in residential work including new builds and renovation projects. Currently we have a small team of contractors but seeking another experienced contractor or employee to work in house to help with the current demand of work coming through.
The role includes:
Specifically, you will be working along side the director to assist with project delivery, produce thorough architectural drawings and liaise confidently with our clients, consultants and contractors. You will also help oversee work produced by other architectural technicians.
Other duties include:
Work with clients on their design brief.
Collaborate with the team on preliminary designs.
Collaborate with the team on construction drawings, working on technical issues and solutions.
Assist other staff with site visits, measure ups, gathering information and photos..
All applicants must have the following skills/ experience:
5 years min work experience in an architectural office.
Strong technical and organisational skills.
Top communication skills, able to clearly communicate and liaise (verbally and in writing) with clients, consultants, councils, contractors and team members.
Experience with Building Consents.
Knowledge and understanding of NZS3604 and the building code.
Knowledge in specifications
Understanding of ArchiCAD.
