CAFE ZEST is situated in the heart of the booming small town of Kerikeri and has been with the current owners for eleven years.
The current Chef is taking off to travel after 8 wonderful years and we are looking to bring a new light into our vibrant and busy cafe.
SHIFTS start at 6 am and finish at 3 pm and are set days - no messing you about, no late nights! We can offer anything from 2 to 5 days per week at this stage.
YOUR DAY : Baking starts the day, and the doors open at 7:30 with the arrival of our enthusiastic local early birds.
Breakfast and lunch are cooked to order and the cabinets are kept full by both the chefs and the kitchen hands.
We make almost everything we sell with tried and popular recipes but are always looking for new ideas to keep things fresh.
SKILLS : Experience is required in a busy kitchen, with working knowledge of the new Food Hygiene regulations.
Applicants should be able to produce great food at a good pace.
You should be able to work as a team and on your own, although you will always have a team about you. We run with 5 - 7 staff.
There will be initial training to get you up to speed and support is always available if required.
